Iris Sessions

Iris Photography 👁️✨

Discover the art hidden within your eyes.

Iris photography is a unique and captivating way to see yourself from a completely new perspective 🌌 Using specialised macro photography techniques and lighting, I capture the intricate details of your iris — the delicate patterns, textures, and structures that make your eyes truly one of a kind 💫

No two irises are ever the same. Each one tells a story, revealing layers of individuality, emotion, and beauty that are completely personal to you 🤍 It’s like a fingerprint, but far more vivid and alive — a natural artwork created by light, depth, and biology.

During your session, we’ll take the time to carefully photograph your eye in high detail 📸 ensuring every ridge, ring, and reflection is perfectly captured. Afterward, I’ll enhance the image to bring out the natural depth and definition, transforming it into a striking piece of art you can treasure, share, or display 🖼️

Whether it’s a solo portrait, a couple’s set, or a family collection 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 iris photography celebrates what makes each of us unique. It’s not just a photo — it’s a glimpse into the universe within your eyes 🌠

I get asked a lot about the youngest age for iris sessions, and it really does depend on how still your little one is able to sit. They need to stay quite still for a few seconds while a light is gently shone towards the eye, so patience and comfort play a big part ✨

As a general guide, I usually recommend ages 4 and up. I have photographed younger children at parents’ request — some have found it a little tricky or slightly uncomfortable, while others have done amazingly well (I’ve even had a 3-year-old manage it perfectly!) 👁️

It really does come down to the individual child, and I’m always happy to give it a try if you’d like 😊

If your little one isn’t comfortable or we’re not able to capture the image successfully, I wouldn’t charge for the iris image — I want it to be a positive experience for everyone 🤍
